Introduction:

The Collections template serves as the foundation for how product collections are showcased on a Shopify store. It plays a crucial role in organizing and presenting merchandise in a way that is intuitive and visually appealing for customers. Customizing the Collections template enables merchants to highlight key products, curate thematic collections, and guide visitors to discover items that match their interests and preferences.

Sections Overview:

The Settings Overview offers an in-depth exploration of the customizable features and options available within the 'Collections' template. From layout settings and sorting options to filter controls and promotional banners, discover how to tailor the Collections template to align with the brand identity and optimize the browsing experience for customers. Explore the settings to unlock the complete capabilities of the Collections template, enabling the effective presentation of product offerings and fostering engagement on a Shopify store. ONLY the sections that are present but not available in the home page template OR NOT described in the Product template will be included in the following description:

I. Collection:

• Color scheme: With that setting, the user can choose the color scheme of the Image with text section. For more information on setting up the color schemes, refer to Theme settings → Colors → Schemes.

• Image: Select an image for the section.

• Minimum height: Gives control over the height of the section. One of three possibilities is to be chosen: Small, Medium or Large.

• Overlay opacity: A setting that allows the user to control the overlay opacity. It can vary from 0% to 100% rounded to 10 (0%, 10%, 20%, etc.). When 0% is set, overlay is disabled; when 100% is set, the section would become all white even if an image has been selected.

• Show collection description: Enables or disables the visibility of the predefined collection description.

• Enable filters: Enables or disables the filter in the collections.

• Enable sorting: Gives the user the choice to enable or disable the sorting functionality.

• Number of products per page: Gives the user the option to choose how many products to be presented on one page. It can vary from 9 to 36.

• Product image ratio: Gives control over the aspect ratio of the product images. One of three possibilities is to be chosen: Original, Portrait or Landscape.
